Description
I tested some of the available Belt Tensioners, but either they where to clunky, or the wheels where to narrow to operate with an MGN12 Rail. So as always, I made my own and after many test prints and optimization here it is.
This Package now contains two Versions. One for MGN12 Rail and another for the Stock Wheel Carriage.
You can use most of the Original Parts.
Here is what you need to assemble:
2x M3x10 Bolts to connect Left and right side
1x M4 Nut (Screw on a M4 Screw, heat the Nut and press into the Knob)
1x M4x30 Bolt
1x M4 Nut (I recommend a Nylon Lock Nut)
2x M4 Washers
Additional (You´ll love them!):
2x Belt Idler Pulleys 20T (20teeth / Inner Diameter 5mm)
Assembly:
Assemble the T-Nuts on left and right Side.
Put one of the Washers on the M4x30 Bolt and put it through the Slider, put another Washer on the other Side and tighten with the Nylon Lock Nut.
Screw the M4 Nut few turns on a M4 Bolt, heat up the Nut with a lighter, the Press the Nut into the Knob till it aligns with the Outer Side of the Knob
Use the M5 Bolts and Nuts to mount the Idlers on the Slider
Put Together left and right side with the slider in the middle. Screw on the knob.
Make sure everything fits and the Slider can move forward and backwards.
Use the M3x30 to fasten left and right part together
Mount to your Aluminum Rail and assemble the Belt
