Spinning Witches Key FOB

Every 'Witch' needs this key FOB for their Broomstick keys... a fun talking point over the Halloween period but will also be appreciated by Witches all year round!

Like most Key FOB's this is purely a fun, decorative accessory. The design features a Witch on her Broomstick in the centre of a rotating / spinning ring. The Witch and outer surfaces are raised so you can have fun making it in two colors by pausing your machine mid-print (twice) and swapping the filament... this is easy to do and creates a great result.

The mid section starts at 2mm build height and is 1.5mm thick... so swap filament at approx. the following build heights:

First color change: Change at 1.5 - 1.8mm completed (before the centre section starts to build by bridging between the witch and the outer rings).

Second color change: Swap the filament back as soon as you see the witch shape appearing above the centre bridged surface. Change at approx. 3.8 - 4.0mm completed.

For members with a dual extruder machine split files have been added for ease of printing the Witch FOB in two colors. Part A will print the bottom 1.8mm and from 3.8mm to completion. Part B will print the 2mm in between.

This is a small (34mm diameter at standard scale), quick and easy print that uses very little filament (7gm with a Raft). They make great gifts and can be printed to suit any Witches favourite colors.

A well sliced file printed on a precise / accurate machine should result in a FOB with a centre section that will rotate with minimal effort required to free it up. Running a finger nail or craft knife around the groove between the inner and outer parts (refer images) is all that should be required. Applying a light (silicone) lubricant in this area will help it rotate well.

However, if your FOB won't rotate and you can't free it up, you can scale it up uniformly (5-10%) to increase the designed in clearances.
