Description

This is a mount for a Voodoo Manual Boost controller (or any common MBC). It replaces the removable ashtray part that clips in and out of your dash (present on my 95 STI, check to see if your Subaru has the same part). There is zero modification of your stock dash stuff therefore it's completely reversible. I offset the MBC so one could iterate the design with a toggle or small gauge for something else.

Plumb the MBC as directed (ECU tuning and boost gauge are required!) then route the 2 vacuum lines from your engine through the firewall and now you can adjust the car's boost level on the fly. I added a 90° elbow to the Wastegate tap so both MBC ends face the same direction.

I wrapped my quick and dirty print with 3M 1080 automotive vinyl, it's great for making car stuff! Also, my spacing on the factory spring clips was wrong so I salvaged some random junk and made my own springs (the 2 black things in the picture).

*The fitment on this design isn't quite right but I've made it work and won't revise it until I have another reason to take it apart. Current flaws:
-Tabs on the side are not tall enough for good fitment
-Tabs on bottom are a bit too tall and needed a bit of sanding to fit
-Screw holes are too large and placed too far away to allow the factory spring clips to be transferred over
-An o-ring should probably be added to the MBC on the inside to seal the screw's shaft to the back of the Mount, I'm using it as-is and can't hear any leaks besides the built in bypass.
