Shock mount for the Zoom H1 Audio Recorder.

I was looking for a way to mount my Zoom H1 recorder to my mic stand. There a few other mounts on the site, but I wanted something that looked more like a piece of regular studio equipment and provided a little more security for the H1.

The mount I designed uses normal rubber bands for suspension, and the H1 is secured in the mount by a camera 1/4-20 thumbscrew. This assures that the recorder can be oriented in whatever position you want without fear of it sliding out of the mount. The H1 can be removed from the mount while keeping the inner mount attached to outer ring. It also allows access to the power/hold switch, the audio settings switches and recording stop/start button. I gave it tunnels on both sides to avoid rubbing on the buttons that are on the sides of the H1.

The mount doesn't give access to the side buttons, but I don't normally use those while I'm recording. I may redesign the mount in the future to add external buttons that can operate the H1's buttons.

You can orient the H1 in any direction you'd like by rotating the inner ring during assembly.

Both pieces of the mount are designed to be printed without support. However, depending on your printer, you may need support inside the holes.

I'm using the InnerGear Microphone Stand, Model: MU01

The mount is meant to replace the MIC holder that comes with the Mic stand. It uses the original screw.

The rubber bands can be secure with a toothpick or similar rod. I'm using short pieces of filament.
