Description
This is an 83% scale version of the Ghostbusters Proton Thrower. The wand has been scaled down to fit nicely with the Spirit of Halloween Proton Pack available here:
This is based off Dancinfool's proton thrower parts and Slicerd's clippard valve.
The default thrower is really small and this makes for a really nice upgrade. The thrower is based around 3/4 inch PVC for the handles.
I just finished printing a second wand from these files and it used maybe $7-$9 worth of filament. The main body and the 2 grips took the longest to print. 9 hours for the body and 9 hours for the pair of grips. I printed the grips at higher than normal infill and a bit higher resolution due to the curves. The rest of the parts I grouped together into 4 other prints taking about an hour to 2 hours each. Around 24 hours of print time total.
The wand is designed to take full electronics that I designed and is available on github.

The wand I'm working with is built for a left handed person but the models in this thing are all for the proper orientation of the wand and match the spirit pack.
10/20/2017 - Added a remix of the loom adapter to easily connect the wand to the spirit pack. Glue it into the pvc handle and the loom is free to rotate. The part is remixed to fit the spirit wand loom
8/10/2018 - Remodeled the wire loom adapter so that the loom attachement is a little larger and also has 2 nubs to grab on to. I've had to adjust the loom a number of times on mine so wanted to make that connection better
