Description
In many spool holders the spool hangs on a simple threaded rod. Since it has a pretty large rotational resistance which strains your stepper motors, I designed a tube to put on the threaded rod which can be mounted with axle bearings.
I used very standard ones I got from old inline skates with an outer radius of 11.1 mm and a width of 7 mm.
The rotational resistance is thereby lowerd significantly which protects your stepper motors against damage by heavy work.
The tube should fit most common spool sizes and most spool holders. It has a width of 11.5 cm and a perimeter of 3 cm.
