Mostly I have separated sections of certain parts to be printed in different colours in order to minimize the amount of painting required to finish the model, for example: the eyes were seperated from the face, the vents from the helmet, all the light covers and so on. This was done in order to give me a slightly harder wearing end product, as it is intended for play.
Additionally, I have added the following features:
- The neck was adjusted to allow a greater degree of movement
- The cabin was slightly adjusted to allow cut-down lego window panes to be used for the windscreens.
- The Matrix holder was adjusted to fit the Matrix of Leadership linked above.
- The back, ribs, and backpack parts were adjusted to fit the collapsible ion cannon linked above.
- An autobot logo was sourced from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1131435 and scaled to fit, and a locating tab was added to the left shoulder.
- Some holes were added in the front wheel wells and the abdominal grille, for adding 2mm locating pins to lock the abdomen together in robot mode.
- Folding driver and passenger seats were added in the forearms.
- Locating slots were added to the hands to suit the ion cannon linked above. It is my understanding that the handle of this weapon is designed to fit an actual transformer, so I assume the slots should fit standard transformer weapons.
- The spine and pelvis were altered for extra structural integrity.
- The fuel tanks were redesigned, holes were added here and on the hips to add a locating pin to lock the legs in place in truck mode.
- The knees have been modified extensively, giving them an extra axis of rotation, as well as adding a spring-loaded button to lock them in place while in robot mode.
- Flaps have been added to the shins to cover the wheels while in robot mode, they also lock the feet in place in truck mode.
- The ankles have been modified to give them an extra axis of movement
