Description
LED Star,
I designed this star in Solidworks. The parts are printed on my 3D printer and the material is PETG. This material is very strong and nice to work with. In the beginning i had some problems with warping but later i used gluestick direct on the heated bed and had no warping at all. As connection rails i used aluminum LED channels with white covers. As controler i used a ESP32-WROOM module. At the moment i have only a few sequences installed but I'm working on a version where i can upload them via WiFi.
The whole star consists of 330 APA102 LED's which communicate via SPI. I have the SPI speed at 4 MHz and the refresh rate of the whole star is at 1 ms.
