Update 12/23/20: I've uploaded a new version of this, with oscillation, optional internal rechargeable battery, and a single-piece 6-wing blade. This version also uses a more common 130-size hobby motor with a gear drive (this makes it a bit noisier).
A vintage-styled mostly printed electric fan. Mine puts out a decent breeze, but is a bit noisy because of the cheap 625 bearing I'm using. It's designed to use a brushed hobby motor - make sure to get a low RPM motor to avoid burning out. Runs great on a 2S LiPo battery or 5-12V supply.
Non-printed parts:
- 10mm M3 button head bolt - 27pcs
- 8mm M3 bolt - 4pcs
- M3 lock nut - 26pcs
- 16mm or longer M3 bolt (for attaching motor to base)
- 25mm M5 socket head bolt
- M5 lock nut
- 625 Bearing
- 35mm Nylon Standoffs (alternatively these can be printed)
- Brushed motor (24 and 34mm diameter mounts provided, cassette deck motors work well) - 1pc
- Wire for motor, if needed
- Momentary lever switch (same as the ones in mechanical endstops)
- Superglue (1 drop on the shaft adapter if it's slipping)
- Hot glue (for gluing down switch in position)
- Wires, zipties, etc.
