Description

A better way to support your Hottub Spa cover. I was tired of the lifter support arm stretching and tearing the middle seam of my hottub covers. This ruins the cover and increases the gap allowing heat to escape.

  1. The arm of a typical spa hottub cover lifter should not be positioned in the middle where the cover folds. This creates unnecessary torque and stretches and damages the cover. The arm should be adjusted shorter to be approx 1/4-1/3 distance offset from the center as shown in picture. For my cover I had to cut the arm with a hacksaw and drill new holes for the self tapping screws in order to re position my cross bar 1/4 offset from center.
  2. Print 4 bracket pieces and glue 2 back to back to make 1 bracket.
  3. Purchase 2 simple straps from the dollar store and loop through bracket and around hottub lift bar. Adjust accordingly. My bracket slipped in nicely to the lift handles to remain secure but these brackets can simply rest in place anywhere on the edge of the cover.
  4. Pictures are self explanatory.
