Description
This is still a thing in progress with not a whole lot of detailed assembly instructions yet.

I was playing with the idea of making a DiY power wheels type toy for my son. and decided to first attempt at a solid rear axle with diff.
deciding at this scale it would be cool to make a semi realistic version.
it's designed with a few changes.. For starters the vast majority of it was assembled with 5/8 bolts and nuts from a hardware store.
the outputs from the center diff are 1" PVC pipe. and I used a threaded rod to a long bolt for the drive output. (the bolt was glued into the corresponding diff gears) At tje ends I glued skateboard bearings in.
The diff gears for the outputs AND the diff, all were designed to run on 17x30x7mm ball bearings (I ordered mine intended for a HPI Baha 1/5 rc truck off amazon)
The entire axle was printed in ABS. and many parts were smoothed with acetone and/or bonded using a combination of screws, glue, and acetone bonding.
the input for the drive gear needs a threaded rod. I don't have a solid solution for this. I used a hollow rod, some washers, a lot of glue, and a threaded rod to drive it. it's not the best solution!
I have not finished my own print quite yet. so I don't have all the answers or details. it's very much a DIY project!
