Superman sculpture based on Henry Cavill's Superman. No mustache version...sorry about that ;)

As a big comic fan I really wanted a nice looking Superman statue and...If you want something, don't wait for someone else to do it for you! Sculpted in Mudbox and 3DS max. Overall pleased with the model except the cape. I tried to scult it in Mudbox but after a while I gave up and instead used Cloth simulation in 3ds max with better result. This however resulted in a very thin non-printable cape so I had to thicken it which made it quite ugly on the inside, but the outside is nice at least;)

I've uploaded multiple versions so you can choose which one to print.

  1. Splitted model, rotate the parts so they lay flat on the print surface and print with support. It has a hole on the back where you can put a rod. See my make for example of that
  2. Full model without stand. It has a hole on the back as well.
  3. Full model with stand. Left foot has a small connection to the stand to give a somewhat feeling that he is floating.

I have ONLY printed the splitted model but if you have a reliable and large printer then I strongly suggest to print the full model to avoid the seams when gluing the pieces together.

Height without the stand is almost 20 cm. It should be possible to scale it down, you just have to try and see for yourself. Will upload a painted version soooooon.

Thanks to @m3dv_print for the great paint job and letting me use it as thumbnail for the model!
