Tyrannosaurus-Rex 3-layered-animal cnc/laser

Among the first designs for my cnc I did some simplified 3 layered animals. Later two dinosaurs, a Stegosraurus and the Triceratops joined in. I always thought the Tyrannosaurus Rex should follow. So here it is: The mighty T-Rex!

I used my entry level cnc-machine on some 9 mm birch plywood and a spiral-toothed 1.5 mm flute to cut the parts. A 4 mm beech rod simplified the alignment of the parts and made the extremities movable.

A laser cutter might be a good alternative tool to create (even) smaller versions. Probably you could make a aluminum or brass version and screw the parts together to get tiny key fob.
