Description
The Spektrum DX5R transmitter is a beautiful device - but has 2 flaws related to battery:
It only comes with a AA battery compartment. There is a quite expensive option to switch to LiPo battery. But in this case, the transmitter won't switch off properly when the battery power is above 8.0V.
To change the batteries, you have to open the battery compartment. To make things worse, the screws will wear out quite easily.
To fix that (switch to custom LiPo battery + charge the battery in the transmitter), i designed my own battery compartment cover.
It allows to add a round switch (on/off/charging) + a female balancer connector.
