AMT8 - Extremely Cheap Metal Frame for your ANet A8!

Updates: -

• v3.1 Update - This is a minor update that increases the overall strength of the Belt Tensioner. I have made it slightly larger giving it more strength. Also please print this part 100% infill as this is this part gets a lot of stress so needs the added strength.

• v3 Update - Designed stronger Y Guide Rod holders due to play in the rod itself. The new holders have a slot for the rods to go in with no escape hole so no tightening needed. To remove the rods in the future just remove the front Metal bar which will release the rods.

This is a Remix from the EMT8 (Renamed AMT8 as in the UK the material is called conduit Tubing, and I think it fits better with the ANets other remixes)

You will need the following (Prices in GBP obtained from ScrewFix over here)

1x Deta Class 4 Conduit Tube Galvanised 25mm x 3m - £8.99
2x Packs of Easyfix Cap Head Socket Screws Stainless Steel M4 x 16mm 50 Pack (Need 60 screws in total - £5.58
About a 1/3 of a spool of your preferred filament (I used PLA, although others use PETG) - £ Prices Vary

Most of the STL's have been enlarged by 105% from the original designs, although others had to have the holes enlarged as the original holes were still too small even after the increase.

I predrilled every hole with a 3.2mm drill bit. Followed by using a 4mm threading tool to allow for direct screwing into the frame without the need of bolts.

You will have to cut the tubing in these lengths:

X: 3x 313mm
Y: 2x 364mm
Z: 2x 443mm
Z supports: 2x 200mm

This setup is built for 25mm tubing however for those with slightly larger tubing increase print size to the following:

23.4mm = Print all at 95%
25mm = Print all as is (100%)
25.4mm = Print all at 102%

For any other size use +-0.32mm per +-1% as a rough guide.

The frame will be secured to a lack Table (build in progress).

Install the Power Supply and the Motherboard on their supports BEFORE putting them on the frame, otherwise the screws aren't accessible.

This remix has an A6 LCD STL included as an alternative to the A8 LCD
