Acer 135W Power Cord Wrap

Version 2: I have updated the cord wrap after a few weeks use. I have shortened the ears on both sides to just clear a wrapped cord when wound around. The original had some space in the design, and worked well went bent, but if not it was too long and bumped into things. The other modification was the cut outs, I decided to go with a horizontal cut out instead of the angled cutout for the AC power cord because it locks in cleaner instead of up and diagonal, both work and its your preference really. Now it locks in across and you can cleanly wrap the DC cable around it for an extra layer of security. See picture of print in clear TPU.

I have also printed V2 in TPU, I would recommend printing it at 100% or even 99% scale in tpu to get a nice fit.

Version 1: My new Acer laptop shipped with a really basic AC/DC adapter only a small on wire organizing clip leaving it very messy when moving around with it. This is a simple slim design that is two part, requiring little material and low weight, which you push onto either end of the adapter for a friction fit not needing rubber bands or zip ties or glue. You then wrap the cord around the adapter inside the "ears" and clip on the AC power end into a cutout. The DC end has its own clip on the wire to secure so a cutout for that wire was not included.

My original measurements using a caliper made a very snug fit and I recommend printing it at 1-2% larger in size (2% on the safer end). Unfortunately this model needs supports all around and its best printed on its side for the strongest print layer lines on the ears. The original design has straight ears, but you can bend them inward if you want a more compact shape with a heatgun. The ear cutouts for the AC cord needs to be trimmed and sanded so that it will not cut abrade the plastic wire covering.
