July 20, 2018:
An adapter is now available to download that allows existing EconoFil Master Spools to be fitted with larger diameter refill coils such as the Keene Village Plastics (KVP) filament KOIL. This adapter will also fit the Filaments.ca EconoFil injection molded master spool! Thank you to Alex Danis (Alex_3D_Maker) for the design.
June 14, 2018 update: A slightly updated version (V2) is now available. The new version uses less filament so it will print faster. This is due to the logo (F) now being cut-out on the female part of the spool. This also reduces some interference with the tie wraps. The STL file size has also been significantly reduced. We've also included the STP files for those interested.
Print flat with no supports.
We recommend printing at 0.2mm layer height for smooth threads.
Design allows for easy tie wrap removal and replacement.
