WiModem Case for C64

I liked the case that was already up here for the WiModem but I decided I wanted something a little more flashy for my C64. I designed this case for it that has interchangeable face plates so you could make to your liking.

I have included three face plate designs in the files and I have printed and painted two as an example. The face plates were painted after printing but you could easily use a multifilament printer as well to make it different colors. The light on the board is projected thru 1/8" acrylic rods that fit in the 2.5mm hole on the face. Measure a length, snap them off and then just polish the ends with progressively finer sandpaper. Add a dab of superglue to the inside of the tube and fix in place.

The face plates are just held on by friction but the case is designed so you could glue one in place permanently as the modem board will come out via the two screws in front.

The modem board is held in place with two #4 1/2in metal screws. They are long enough to cut their own threads as you screw them in. Just make them snug as you can easily strip the hole if you over tighten.
