THIS IS MOE'S LOW POLY ADD-ON… my personal tribute to monopoly
PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU START PRINTING
PLEASE LEAVE A TIP IF YOU LIKE THIS DESIGN. I REALLY APPRECIATE IT ESPECIALLY FOR ALL THE FILAMENT I USE TO MAKE THESE THINGS WORK :-)
So what is this Add-on and what is it not?
First it is not a complete version of the monopoly game. It its an add-on and you do need the original game to play this! Beside that it is many things at once and a great example what 3d-printing is all about :-)
When I first thought about making an add-on for this game, there were two main aspects that I wanted to realise with this add-on :
Beside that, I also wanted to keep the core aspects oft he game and not change it entirely. It was quiet a challenge do to the fact that there are hundreds of different monopoly-versions out there and that I wanted to come up with a solution that you are able to play with this add-on no matter what kind of version you have at home. This is why I had to add letters to all the streets and why I had to create separate parts to hold the cards. I decided to stick to the original size of the game as well. I also decided to use cylindrical magnets (3 mm x 6 mm) to hold the streets together and that they don’t shift to much during playing the game. This makes it possible that you can arrange the setting of the game to your wishes and add new content made by the community.
The designs you find here is the basic framework for a new monopoly experience, made with your 3D-printer. In contrast to my settler of catan add-ons I won’t produce any new content for this project (beside a game board and a storage-box). So feel free to implement your own ideas and help to make them available for the community. To make this more easy for you, I designed the whole set with tinkercad and used a simple design-stile. You can download, access and change all the designs from tinkercad (the links are all included in the description) to realize your own ideas of the game. LET US BREATHE NEW LIFE INTO THIS GAME ! :-)

Here are the main aspects to make this add-on for the game versatile and open-source:
The models are available for multi material-printers like the prusa multi material upgrade or the palette from mosaic and also for single color printers. Check out the following description to find the models you want to print.
DESIGNS FOR SINGLE MATERIAL PRINTERS:
You do find all designs here under the thing files. For playing the main game you need to print the following parts:
DESIGNS FOR MULTI MATERIAL PRINTERS:
ASSEMBLING:
To assemble both the multi material and the single color version you need some cylindrical magnets (6 mm x 3 mm) and some glue. I ordered my magnets here:https://www.supermagnete.ch/eng/rod-magnets-neodymium/rod-magnet-diameter-3mm-height-6mm-neodymium-n48-nickel-plated_S-03-06-N. If you use axial magnets, enter them one after the other in a clock- or counterclockwise way into the bases. Then add some superglue to them and add the top parts like the streets. You also need to glue together the cardholders and the corresponding numbers and letters you find in the street parts for each street. For the single color variant print the road-parts and the letters in an other color like gray or white for example and glue them on top of the streets.
