Update 2018-11-20:
I seemed to have messed up the 6-7 connector models so both tops and boxes were in wrong in sizes. So I have now remade them and also gone through all the others to make sure the are in correct sizes. Fixed so all the letters on the tops to better aligned to the connectors also. Renamed them all to version 2 after these changes
Update 2018-10-27:
Error corrected everything (missed this since it was more or less my first 3d modell)
Added versions of the boxes to mount it with M4 T-nut and 8mm M4 screw
Renamed them for easier understanding (I hope)
I made this since the original printer cables are very short resulting in that you have to have the control box very close to the printer. Instead of getting extension cables I decided to change the original JST connectors to something more heavy duty. I wanted to be able to disconnect/connect the control box easily without the risk of breaking the small JST connectors.
I decided to go for locking GX12-6 connectors for the box since they can be found cheap with 6 pins connectors, lock good and are sturdy. With 6pin connectors it easier to change one cable if needed for a xyz stepper motor.
When it comes to making the cables I just cut the cables at the end with the JST connectors that goes to the stepper motors and end stops and soldered the GX12-6 connector to them. This makes them be long enough for me.
Then I created new cables from the cable box to the stepper motors and end stops with a GX12-6 chassi connectors in one end and new JST connect in the other.
The cable box is designed with a self locking top and is to be used with the cable box clips. The clips for the box fit so tight that they more or less has to be broken when removing the box. Now I also have adde T-nut versions of the boxes.
