Pros: This style of light allows the batteries to be mounted under the saddle, reducing the weight in the cockpit and the odds of vibrations cycling power to the spring-connected flashlight style. The existing light mount method is very adjustable and durable. (6+ years of regular use)

Cons: This mounting style is less versatile - a flashlight can be easily removed and used as a flashlight. It is also more difficult to remove if you are concerned about theft.
