Description
I wanted to mount a HallON sensor on my AM8 build, which also is using the E3D carriage https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2193695
I had to do some modifications to the original HallON housing, and came up with this design, which is intended for cylinder shaped magnets.
The top lid, the cable pass through and the small bracket for mounting the PCB should be used from the original design.
The parts are created with tight tolerances - so make sure, that your e-steps and flow-rate are properly configured before printing the parts. Even though my printer is reasonably good calibrated, I still had to do some minor mechanical work on the printed items (the hole for the metal probe - and some bits around the release button).
I have not yet fully tested the model - but from my test prints so far, I believe it should be in a mountable/working order by now (also prepared for a ø5x7 magnet if required).
Design is temporarily unavailable, as I discovered an issue with the release buttons hitting the mounting points of the electronics case. I am currently working on a solution to address this - probably with a custom release button, and some brackets to be mounted on the left-hand side Z extrusion.
