Description
The original files I started from are here on GrabCAD. Taikonaught did a great job with it.
I wanted to modify the compression straps on a small 13L day-pack. It had a pair of sewn in tri-glide anchors that I wanted to replace with quick release buckles. Unfortunately, unsewing the webbing would be a big mess of popping seams on the internal tape, and then more seams to get at the webbing. Ugh.
What I needed was a "field repair" style buckle. I took Taikonaught's CAD and massaged the female buckle to accept a 30mm 3mm bolt to act as a pin. I used some 3mm ID brass tubing lengths so that the webbing wouldn't abrade on the threading of the bolt. Works great so far. I did rub the surfaces of the Male connector with emery tape until things were nice and smooth. Helped make the buckle action easier.
Printed in PETG at 100% infill.
