Description
A friends cars electric roof didn't lock anymore and there was a strange noise when it tried. After some investigation we found out that a hole for a square shaft in a helical gear was not square anymore, but round. So we attempted to draw it up and print it. #notingtolose
The first one we used for a testfit failed, but it was only 20% infill an 2 perimeters (0.3mm nozzle).
The second on printed with 50% and 6 perimeters worked. I have no idea for how long, but its easy enough to print another one and maybe it'll las for a long time. I will update this post if it fails.
Material used was Igus Iglidur i150.
