Description

This is an enclosure for the "QC2.0 QC3.0 Automatic Voltage Current LCD Tester" that I bought off eBay (http://ebay.com/itm/142468769891).

The board moves very little within the enclosure, and all the indicator lights are visible through the window and all the buttons are usable (you might need a pen to poke them).

What does the board do? It sends and receives the signals to control what voltage a QuickCharge-compatible USB port outputs. It comes bare, so I wanted a case to protect it in my travel bag.

I use it to charge my Microsoft Surface Pro 3 from a USB port that supports Qualcomm QuickCharge, such as on my OmniCharge Pro 20, so I don't have to carry around my brick. The SP3 charges at 12V via a special connector ("Surface Connect"). The board lets me choose 12V from the USB port. I already had a cable with SC on one end and a male barrel 5.5x2.1 on the other, so I use a cable with male USB A and barrel 5.5x2.1 to go between them.

Many thanks to anewsome for his fantastic parametric hinged box(https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:82533), which is the base for this! Heck all I did was enter the right measurements and then punch a few holes in it.

I used TinkerCad to make the ports, holes, and window. You can tinker with it here: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/1oUOBI9am0I
