STACHE™ tire scraper for Onewheel by Land-Surf, LLC.

Like the look of a fender-less Onewheel? Hate the rocks and stuff thrown up at your shins?

Try out the free STACHE™ 3d print from Land-Surf, LLC. Designed by Matt Hoover, this print will allow you to block 90% of the rocks that come up on the rear footpad when not using a fender. It won't block all debris, but it's enough that it makes riding without a fender a bit cleaner. It's a work in progress...

Print the rigid file in something like Carbon Fiber infused PLA (what we did). PETG is a bit too flexible for the rigid part of the STACHE. Don't use anything that flexes too much.
We printed at .24mm layers, .5mm nozzle, 45mm/sec, 215 degrees CF PLA from protopasta.

For the TPU part, print using .24mm thick layers or higher, 210 degrees. We used a 1mm nozzle and Titan Aero extruder. Average around 25-30mm/sec.

Print the Rigid bracket with the Land-Surf logo side down, and the TPU part with the flat side down (as shown in the pictures above).

The tradeoff to this newfound cleanliness is that you make a "swishing" sound like George Costanza everywhere you ride. However, you can adjust how aggressive the debris blocking is by moving the bracket towards or away from the wheel.

The TPU part (the comb) fits into the long slot in the rigid part.

Remove the screws on the rail just behind the wheel, then use two 10-32 x 1/2" screws to fix the Rigid bracket to your Onewheel, clamping the TPU part down.

Roll the wheel in the direction of travel to get the TPU comb to start to scrape the tire. Adjust the amount of scrape by moving the STACHE towards or away from the wheel before tightening the screws.

As the TPU wears over time you can continue to move the bracket closer to maintain the best tire scraping. After it's worn enough, replace the TPU part with a new one.
