HobbyKing Mini Skywalker Parts: Landing Wheel

Belly-mounted landing wheel for the HobbyKing Mini Skylwalker. Suitable for 35-36mm wheels with a 2mm axle. The axle should be a bit less than 20mm long, either steel or carbon fiber rod will do.

Preparation only requires that you cut a hole in the same outline as the wheel well through the model's belly. The wheel well and the cover plate sandwiches the wheel and the foam in-between, so no gluing is necessary. Use 2mm self-tapping screws to join the well and cover, The screws that come with a 9g servo set will do fine.

The photo shows an old wheel I used with a 4mm axle but I resized it for the more common 2mm axle used in small wheels such as these:
