Description
3D printed SUP paddle and handle.
Blade and handle are made of PLA single layer shell with light infill.
Core parts are relatively small and can be printed on any standard printer.
Parts are bounded with CA glue then sanded and laminated with fibre glass. Lay up is 3 x 125GSM plain weave S-glass on each sides (one layer straight and two layers cut at 45 degree). I used bio sourced epoxy resin.
Blade surface is 540cm^2.
Suitable bamboo shaft must be 26-27mm diameter on the base and 24-25mm at handle.
Finished blade weight is around 280g, full paddle 940g however it could have been much lighter with a thinner wall thickness bamboo (I ran out of my best shafts already on other makes).
