Description

This is a very light and rigid 64mm rod spacing carriage to work with any MGN12H linear rail carriage (20x20mm hole spacing)
It is good to within 18-20.5mm belt offset from the tower.

Can be paired with my 64mm 3xPiezo Magnetic Effector https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2361081

Or

the 64mm Chimera Effector https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2730064

Per carriage, you will need:

2x 10mm ball studs from Haydn http://www.MagBallArms.com or if you are in UK https://www.duet3d.com/DuetAddons
2x M3 Nylon Nuts
2x M3x8 bolts.
2x M3x16 bolts
1x M2.5x12 hex for fine end stop tunning

To Print:
200μ and >75% infill (or as much as you can afford).
Supports are needed and need to be well tuned to come out clean or the carriage will not stay straight. I use 2 top layers at 40% and 1 separation layer.

To Install:
An 8mm offset end stop switch spacer is needed (included)
Best install with the printer laying down. Fitt the carriage using the 4 bolts and then the bottom end of the belt first. Make a loop at the other end and holding the carriage with one hand, fit the belt first inside the narrow part and then over the bolt and push half way in. Check the belt tightness. If you need to remove the belt use a small screwdriver or hex key inside the groove and pry it out.
It is quite easy to install so make sure the belts are not too tight.
Ones done, check that the belts are running parallel with the towers.

My Kossel is built with Robogigg metal corners and I've twisted the belt to run over the idler pulleys. They run very smooth this way.
Cable ties are not necessary but I've marked the belt with paint to see if they have moved.

Enjoy!
