Universal LED mount for support rod M10, M8, M6, 3/8", 5/16", and 1/4" rod

Here are simple devices you can slide on your threaded rod to hold LED strips that are commonly sold online. Simply purchase the 12 volt LED strips you like, they are usually sold in 12 inch (305mm) lengths. Tap into the positive and negative 12volt off your printer's power supply, and add a switch in line somewhere on either positive or negative. Then wire out to the different sets of LED strips. Place these mounts where you'd like on your threaded rod and point them in the direction you like and tighten nuts down on either end to secure. Then glue or zip tie the LED strips to these mounts. Many LED strips are sold with self adhesive backing.

flexible LED strips that are sold often advertise that they can be cut to any length; but if you don't want or can't cut them then just print two of the 6 inch mounts and place them end to end and then glue or zip tie your LED strips on. I've included 3 inch versions so you can make lengths of your choosing. Custom lengths can be achieved by printing two 3 inch mounts and spacing them to the ends of whatever length LED strip you like. All the mounts have a 10mm wide flat surface to accommodate the mounting of LEDs.

The Threaded Rod hole options are
10mm hole for M10 and 3/8" rod
8mm hole for M8 and 5/16" rod
6mm hole for M6 and 1/4" rod (will be tight fit for 1/4inch rod)

Go to the thingi file tab and the stl files are labeled as to what rod they slide on and what length they are.

I'll post pictures of what they look like on my printer's threaded rods once I have printed and wired up some more LEDs to apply.
