Description
Basically took two awesome RC boat parts and combined them, this is a work in progress, I haven't started printing it off yet so I'm bound to change it up a bit. I've also cut it up a bit smaller than the original to fit on my machines.
11/6/2018 - Thanks to Jdoby for adjusting the jet design, I've updated the hull and various other pieces to take the new adjustments, please re-download if you have the first version.
5/22/2019 - I'll be looking at this project more in the next several months, I need to clean up and finish my hull (roughly glued together currently) plus work on mounting the steering servo, motor and making/updating any improvements.
6/19/2020 - Still working on the design, another member asked for a reverse actuator on the nozzle, showed me a few designs and I went ahead and modified the existing nozzle for the reverse. I've also put holes in the transom for the steering and reverse actuation arms, drop me a message if you have any ideas on how to waterproof them or if they need to be larger/smaller.
I've updated all STL's and also included the 5pc hull for larger printers (all mine now can do the larger pieces verses a few years ago), Hull 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 are the full size sections, 1a, 1b, 1c etc are the smaller sections for printing on 200mm printers.
7/15/2020 - Another user named Sergey has been helping out with the design, he's updated the output housing of the jet to have a tighter seal/fit to the nozzle increasing the efficiency of the reverse duct and hard turning due to loss of water out the sides, he's also created some intake covers to protect the propeller from debris. I should probably get around to completing mine so I can get some pictures of it up.
