GI Joe R.T.V. (Rough Terrain Vehicle)

The GI Joe Rough Terrain Vehicle (R.T.V.). Recreate the adventure from the GI Joe comic book issues 6 and 7! This vehicle was designed to be parachute dropped in smaller pieces and then hand assembled in the field. Made of foam and aluminum it's said six people can assemble it in 30 minutes. (The Joe team did it in 23.) If you want to simulate the "parachute drop" I made CAD files for the individual pieces [the wheels without tires & the rear bed in sections] but you don't need those if you just want the assembled vehicle.

The model was a challenge because it was shown in about 8 or so comic book panels but size-wise it is not the same from picture to picture. Also not every angle is shown so I had to improvise parts of it due to lack of information. In any event I’m happy with the results.
The file was created roughly full scale (there was never a toy for this) but it is optimized for printing at 25%. Unless you stay in that range your print may have too much or too little detail.
This is a big one, my finished model printed at 25% weighs 140 grams so it cost me about $2.94 for the material to print it.

This file is free to download but please note that it is listed as non-commercial because this is copied from intellectual property that I do not own. As such neither you nor I are allowed to sell physical copies of this 3-D model. You are allowed (and encouraged) to print copies for your own personal use. ‘Makes’ are appreciated.
