Description

This is just a small tool that allows the user to put a dimple in a duck call or other game call for the top reed in a double reed call. The tool evenly spaces out the dimple on each reed to get a consistent result.

The dimple diameter is 2 mm and has a buffer design of 0.2 mm for the index spot. I like to print the first 3 mm as 0.2 mm LH and switch to 0.1 mm LH for the top so the clearance is is more defined. Otherwise you can print both sides in 0.1 mm for best results, always with 100% infill, PLA seems to be working fine.

I have dimpled reeds of both 10 mil and 14 mil thickness. I assume it can go thicker but you might get some blow out around the top of the dimple.

I use metal coat hangers, thickness 2 mm as the hinge material and it seems to hold up well.
