The set-up for pupils' attempts at the mechanics of ŽEP-II (Šup, 1980) contains all the necessary material for experiments in solid mechanics. Outside the spring forcemeters, where the original elasticity or total rupture is lost, the pulley holder and the locking pin are the most replaced parts.
Pulley holder
The plastic body is used to construct fixed pulleys, loose pulleys, and hoists. The pulley holder often cracks in the area of the upper circular opening or breaks the output for the locking pin.
Locking pin
Due to its size, the pin is often lost or its head is broken.
