Description
In airplane luggage loose lithium batteries are only allowed when they are contained in the appropriate packaging. This is because the battery contacts might cause a short-circuit. The original battery does not come with an enclosure - except for the non original batteries that I have, but the cardboard containers are too big to fit in my camera holster bag.
That is why I made my own, and since about a year ago I have been using them on multiple flights while not getting any trouble at the custom declarations.
This print really challenges the precision of your 3d printer, since the covers are designed to hold onto the battery just by friction. In fact the tolerance is so tight that I had to make a hole for the air to escape trough. If you would like to alter the tolerances feel free to do so as I have included the FreeCad file.
