This is an bayonet fixture to create interconnection of zylindrical object. The target is to make an parametrized / adjustable model of the fixture features, which than can be easily used in other models.
The fixture consists of 2 features:
- Nose with Anker - typically on the top
- Cut Out with Rest - typicall on bottom
A pre-version was used in the construction of the water meter measurement (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3238162).
This example consists of:
- Parametrizable model ("Bajonet_Parametrisied_v18.FCStd")
- Schematics of parameters
- 2 test structures with smaller and bigger interconnects
(FreeCAD and STL-Files, "Teststructure...")
- Make of Teststructure
To use it in our own models do the following steps:
- Open the parametrized model in FreeCAD go to the parameter spreadsheet an adjust it to your belongings (diameter, number of connections, geometry, ... - details see attached schematics and comments @ parameters)
The modell will be updated correspondingly
- Mark the nose, copy and insert to your model and place at the corresponding position
- Mark the "Cut Out", copy and insert to your model and use this to cut free the clearance for the lower part (rest)
- Mark the "Rest", copy and insert into the previous created cut out
