Phanteks Shift Airflow Mod

If you think your build is suffering from poor airflow, this may help you out. This is a direct replacement for the factory front cover mount brackets, and adds another direction for airflow to enter from the base area, and exhausts more air through the top area. There is also a divider to prevent recirculation of exhaust air into the intake fan. The standard filter that comes with the case will not work, but I have included a bracket to install an optional Silverstone FF143B 140MM fan filter, which is ultra-fine, but not overly restrictive. In my system, when the CPU and GPU are fully stressed, and the filter is used, there is a 1-2 degree difference between this mod and having no cover at all. You should see even better performance if you don’t need the filter.

Included is an extended version of the base and lid. The Base has thread holes where you can mount your own 5.3mm ball studs. I did this because metal ball studs are preferred over 3d printed ones for strength. I purchased generic 5mm ball studs, then coated the ball surface with several layers of super glue until the ball studs grew enough in diameter to adequately clip into the case mount brackets. I have not tested this version the base or lid myself. If you print this out and feel the design can be improved, please provide feedback so I can get it altered.
