Decoy Remote Control

Babies love remote controls. They see them and immediately begin attempting to devour them. The problem is that remote controls make for costly teething toys. So I created this decoy.

The buttons and the remote body are separate for printing on a dual head printer. I attached the .thing file setup for a Replicator (Dual).

Once printed leave this remote in an inconspicuous location and in about 12s your baby will attack it. Use this time to relocate your real remotes for in about 10s the baby will realize he has been duped and will seek out something that actually has electricity in it to gnaw on. But that's 22s you have where a baby isn't chewing on you're remote!

Parenting tip: If you pretend that you don't want the baby to chew on it, you may gain an additional 14s

This remote says, "Caleb," on it, but your baby is not likely to know what it says. So that shouldn't matter.

The author makes no claims about safety of this design. It hasn't been tested in a lab, or measured against some standards. I can't speak about risks of ABS plastic extruded in a printer nozzle and baby health. Use at your own risk.
