Description

I absolutely love this model by Depronized, especially since I work with the real thing which this is based off nearly every day as a lighting designer.
I wanted to use it as a lamp for my desk, but it had to be mounted on the wall. So, I made a few modifications. First off, I scaled it to 300% of the original size, allowing me to fit a full size 120V socket and LED bulb inside. I also slightly extended the short barrel to fit the maximum size of my printer. Next, I created a barrel extension. I did this for 2 reasons. First, it would further allow me to tighten the beam, while also giving me a convenient spot to insert a lighting gel. Finally, I modified the mounting system of the light a little bit. Given this was going to be wall mounted, I needed it to pivot, but i didn't have any massive bolts that would work here. So instead, I created notched pins that held the yoke and light base together, giving me several fixed points of adjustment, while also holding the light. Because both the yoke and base have the notched pattern cut into them, you just need to aim the light at the angle you want, line the holes up, and insert the pin. The pin will then hold it in place. Lastly, I modified the fork slightly, adding 3 screw holes for mounting to the wall.
Final product works great, and is so very appropriate for my work!
