Raspberry Pi 3B+ enclosure with 40mm fan

I needed to wall mount some Raspberry Pi units and couldn't find a case I liked so created this.

It is designed for a 40x10mm Noctua 5V fan that I power from the PI GPIO header. It is silent and the fan keeps the Pi at very near ambient air temperature, assisted by the number of ventilation slots.

4x M2.5 nuts and 4x 10mm M2.5 cap screws are needed to hold the lid on and the Pi in place.

Two short lengths of clear 1.75mm filament (mine is PETG) are used as light pipes for the PI LEDs. I use aeromodelling 'Formula 560' Canopy Glue to hold them in as this dries clear. Simply use a sharp scalpel to trim them once the glue is dried.

There are two versions of the base - 1 has external feet while the other has two holes in the base for countersunk screws. Note that if you use this option please ensure that the screw heads are below the ring around the holes to help minimise the risk of short circuits.

The dust cover is intended to stop dust collecting in the USB ports if the PI is mounted with the ports uppermost. It simply fits around, and is retained by, the LAN cable.
