My 6 year old asked me to 3d print some BeyBlade Burst Evolution Tops for Christmas. I tried all that are on thingiverse, but they didn't work well enough. So I designed this from scratch, for both my boys.
This is in two parts. All use the Basic BeyBlade Lock.stl, which attaches to the real Forge Disk and Performance Tip. The Second part is modified from the Basic Top.stl, which is attached to the Lock with two screws. I designed this to used some M3x5 pan head screws, but I also had some similar sized self tapping screws on hand that worked well (I don't know the size).
You can modify the Basic Top.stl as you like. I have also added my first designs as well as the basic top. You will need a Launcher and a Burst Evolution tip to use these. Make sure that the "tops" are flipped over to print without supports.
These are designed to "Spin right" (you can mirror the lock file to have a Left Spin BeyBlade). I have tried this in six launchers and it worked flawlessly in all but one. That one launcher was slightly defective too tight. Sanding the launcher down a bit and it works too now.
Update January 11, 2019
After heavy use, since receiving these for Christmas, one of the more aggressive models broke. I changed the Saw 12b.stl Model to make it stronger. I also updated the Basic Top.stl to the stronger version. These are reflected as V2 files. None of the other models have broken yet, so I did not upgrade any other premade models.
I am also uploading the Fusion 360 exported files, as requested, for the basic design for you to build on. Basic Lock.f3d and Basic Top V2.f3d Please post any makes or remixes. (I am still learning Fusion 360. I hope .f3d is the file to use)
Update: January 24, 2019 I noticed that as my kids BeyBlade launcher wears out, it develops burrs inside that prevent some newly printed tops from releasing. Newer launchers are fine with the new BeyBlades. SO, I made a newer Basic BeyBlade Lock Ver2.stl that is slightly loser. I also uploaded some new designs, inspired by my kids drawrings.
