Rogue Monster J-Cup Improved UHMW Replacement

This is an improved J-Cup cover that replaced the protective UHMW strip that comes on the original J-Cups. This design fits the 3" J-Cups from the Rogue Monster series racks that have either a single screw, two screws side by side, or two screws diagonally arranged. There is also a version that fits the Rogue Infinity series.

The problem with the J-Cups as they are is that the bare front end of the cup allows for metal-on-metal strikes between the barbell and the J-Cup. This can wear down the knurling on your bar and destroy the finish on both the barbell and the J-Cup, opening up the bare metal to corrosion.

This improved J-Cup cover slips over the front lip of the cup and screws into the original hole with the original screw, providing a protective layer of plastic over the previously exposed metal. This cover is about 50% thicker than the original, and the screw is countersunk deeper into the material due to the faster wear rate of FDM plastics over UHMW. This cover is also wider to protect the sides of the J-Cup.

The G2 of this design removes the side covers in favor of simplicity in printing. You can print this one on its side with no supports and no post processing. This should be much more conducive to printing with tougher materials.
