Description
This is a scratch design after building the great design from Chickan. My printer is a Prusa kit and the tolerances caused some seams to weld together. I wanted to build a bulletproof design for novice printers so the hinges are very beefy and the clearance between sections opened up a lot. I figured the design should handle displaying a book or picture so the frame is thick. There are ten tiny tabs to prevent curling at the corners which will be cut with an exacto knife before opening. Also, two triangular rails support the "foot" hinge and can be pried off prior to closing the foot down. The circular corner tabs peel off easily and will keep the whole piece flat, since the mechanism relies on precision. The upper section of the center "horseshoe" is thick enough to put recessed letters in if you want to do initials or a monogram.
