IT WORKS!!
Laser cutter gantry .. check the 3mf file in windows 10 .. builder and viewer
This is an experiment to see if I can accurately model then realise a CNC gantry in 3d builder. freehand :D
edit: reworked sideblocks to give more workable area .
TO DO:
Model laser mount to 8mm smooth blocks .. Do I use one or two blocks???
GRBL UNO Software up and running .. steppers calibrated @ 398 steps/mm
Waiting on 60mm long high torque steppers. edit (1/12/2019) they got here!!!
Has issues with parts lifting .. ABS build juice has helped on a hot bed as it bubbled and created a great keying surface ... they come off eventually :/

gt2110 belt is nice and tight .
