Description

This fixture is designed to machine AR-15 80% lower receiver fire control group pockets. The receiver is affixed vertically to facilitate FCG pocket machining. The fixture is designed to screw down to the 75mm on center M5 bolt pattern of the X-Carve wasteboard. The fastener holes have been designed with a diameter of 8mm, so they will accept larger fasteners if using a T-slot or other work surface. Fasteners required for use: (1) M5 x 90mm Hex Head Cap Screw - this is the screw that runs through the mag well and is visible on the top of the fixture. Amazon Link (2) M5 x 25mm Hex Head Cap Screw (X-carve green or blue thumbscrew lengths will work) (1) 1/4x28" Hex Head Cap Screw - this is a standard grip screw for the receiver, the fixture retains the rear of the receiver using a standard grip screw angle visible in the analysis render above. (!) NOTICE - A standard X-carve does not have sufficient Z travel to machine an AR15 FCG. This fixture is designed for upgraded/modified machines with a 2" Y-axis lift and long travel linear Z-axis. (!) NOTICE - If you are considering using this fixture on a milling machine, consider a solid infill and limit yourself to toolpaths with lighter depth cuts. This is plastic, after all.
