Description
UPDATE 1: I went through several iterations after the first design, and the latest (v8) is intended to maximize the pad lifetime: it gets thinner with time, so at some point the rim starts scratching the floor - I added an island as high as the brim, so scratching won't happen, but the lowered space around the island presses the pad into the brim and should keep it in place.
UPDATE 2: The clips are encapsulated inside now, so it is a bit more bulky, but nicer to look at.
We have IKEA kitchen chairs made of the LEIFARNE/Ernfrid combo. My wife insists on slide pads on the wood floor and they come loose or off rather quick, leading to the feet "scratching" the floor. Made this "slider assistant" to keep them in place, tested them for a week and it seems to work well.
