Description
These are two cases for mounting an MKS Gen L and Raspberry Pi 3B+ on the back of the popular Creality Ender 3 printer. The two cases have mounting holes and a pass-through port for connecting the RPi 3B+ to the MKS Gen L mainboard between the cases.
The cases are mounted on the main rails in each side. Unfortunately, the screw holes in these parts are non-threaded by default, so you will need to thread them to mount the cases using an M5 tap.
Each case has two lids; one for mounting on top of the case, and the other to fit on top of the other lid. The lids are fastened using 7 M3 bolts and M3 square nuts. The MKS board as rooms for a 60x60x10 mm 24V fan, while the RPi lid has a slit to allow a RPi camera cable through.
The MKS board is fastened to the bottom with 4 M3 16mm bolts and nuts (regular or locking nuts).
The Raspberry case also has room for a Grove Relay and a 5V DC-DC buck converter to enable powering the RPi from the Ender PSU and to control the 24V power to the MKS board. The Grove relay and DC-DC buck converters are mounted using M2 bolts and nuts.
