Slingshot Band Tying Jig - Clamp & Hook

This is a tool for tying the pouch to a cylindrical or flat band rubber.

There is another, more sophisticated design in which the hook is replaced by a mobile jaw.

It consists of a body with a rotating arm that acts as a clamp to hold the rubber, and a hook adjustable in depth to hold the pouch and keep it stretched while tying. Necessary materials, in addition to the printed parts: - 1 M6-40 mm. cyindrical or hexagonal head screw (both body designs are available). - 1 self-locking nut M6. - 1 threaded rod M5-110 mm. - 1 M6 washer. - 1 M5 washer. - 1 M5 wing nut. - 1 of the sleeves used to splice the M5 threaded rod. In the market they can be of cylindrical or hexagonal type. - 1 nail 3 mm thick. Mounting: - Fix the clamp to the body with the M6 screw, nut and washer, leaving a little clearance for the clamp to rotate freely. - Cut the sleeve in half, make a hole through it of 3.5 mm in diameter, with a little inclination, as shown in the images. - Cut the nail 20 mm from the tip. - Insert the piece of nail into the hole in the sleeve and weld with tin/silver, or glue with epoxy. Make sure that the solder or glue does not stick to the thread beyond the nail, towards the inside of the sleeve, as if this happens, the threaded rod cannot be screwed on afterwards. To avoid this, before welding or gluing, you can make a plug with teflon tape used in plumbing, pressing it to the bottom with the threaded rod. - Mount the threaded rod, the hook, the M5 washer and the wing nut on the body. Use - The tool can be attached to the edge of a table with a small sergeant. - Pass the rubber through the pouch hole. - Fold the clamp to hold the loop that makes the rubber. - Stretch the pouch until one of its holes reaches the hook. The stretching can be adjusted with the wing nut. - Proceed to tie the rubber, close to the pouch. Note: The photographs are from an earlier version than the one published. Se trata de una herramienta para fijar la badana a las gomas, cilindricas o planas. Hay otro diseño más sofisticado en el que el gancho se reemplaza por una mordaza móvil.. Consta de un cuerpo sobre el que pivota un brazo que hace de mordaza para sujetar la goma, y un gancho regulable en profundidad para enganchar la badana y mantenerla estirada mientras se ata. Materiales necesarios, además de las piezas impresas: - 1 tornillo M6-40 mm. de cabeza ciíndrica o hexagonal (se proporcionan dos diseños del cuerpo). - 1 tuerca autoblocante M6. - 1 varilla roscada M5-110 mm. - 1 arandela M6. - 1 arandela M5. - 1 tuerca de mariposa M5. - 1 manguito de los que se usan para empalmar varilla roscada de M5. En el mercado se pueden encontrar de tipo cilíndrico o hexagonal. - 1 clavo de 3 mm de grosor. Montaje: - Fijar el brazo al cuerpo con el tornillo, tuerca y arandela de M6, dejando un poco de holgura para que el brazo gire libremente. - Cortar el manguito por la mitad, hacerle un agujero que lo atraviese totalmente de 3,5 mm de diámetro, con un poco de inclinación, tal como se aprecia en las imágenes. - Cortar el clavo a 20 mm de la punta. - Introducir el trozo de clavo en el agujero practicado en el manguito y soldar con estaño/plata, o pegar con epoxi. Cuidar de que la soldadura o el pegamento no se peguen en la rosca más allá del clavo, hacia el interior del manguito, ya que si ocurre, no se podrá atornillar luego la varilla roscada. Para evitar esto, antes de soldar o pegar, se puede hacer un tapón con cinta de teflón del que se usa en fontanería, apretándolo al fondo con la varilla roscada. - Montar la varilla roscada, el gancho, la arandela M5 y la tuerca de mariposa en el cuerpo. Uso: - La herramienta se puede sujetar al borde de una mesa con un pequeño gato. - Pasar la goma por el agujero de la badana. - Abatir la mordaza para sujetar el bucle que hace la goma. - Estirar de la badana hasta que uno de los agujeros de ésta llegue al gancho. El estiramiento de puede regular con la tuerca de mariposa. - Proceder a atar la goma, cerca de la badana. Nota: Las fotografías son de una versión anterior a la publicada. En diseño actual, el gancho queda por debajo del punto de sujeción de la mordaza, en lugar de por encima, además de otras pequeñas mejoras.
