MK8 enclosure for 30x30&40x40 fans and BLTouch mount - U20/U20+/U30/U30Pro/LK1/LK2/LK4/LK4Pro compatible

Ce capot permet d'utiliser des ventilateurs 40x40 et 30x30 (avec l'adaptateur). Je l'ai conçu pour être utilisé en MK8 avec le fanduct d'origine de la U20/U30/U30Pro ou bien avec un autre ayant le même encombrement.

Par rapport au capot métallique d'origine, les principales améliorations sont les suivantes :

• Une réduction de l'espace entre la surface inférieure et le corps de chauffe pour réduire le flux d'air descendant sur le lit et causant du warping. Je n'ai pas observé de problèmes à cause de cette proximité. Les arêtes sont maintenant distantes de environ 1.5mm de ce corps, les chaussettes silicone sont donc compatibles (distance de 0.5mm une fois installée),
• Surface inférieure rehaussée pour ne plus englober le corps de chauffe afin qu'il soit moins refroidi par le ventilateur de façade,
• Pour conserver la position du guide d'air d'origine, l'emplacement du ventilateur de façade est décalé vers le haut, vers la gauche et incliné de 20° pour souffler en direction du corps de refroidissement,
• Les ouvertures latérales et supérieure sont assez larges pour accroitre l’évacuation de l'air qui ne peut plus s’échapper par le dessous. Étonnamment cela réduit aussi un peu le bruit.
• Compatibilité avec les ventilateurs 30x30 ou 40x40 d'épaisseur 10mm ou 20mm et plus
• Suppression des grilles des ventilateurs pour diminuer le bruit et améliorer le débit des ventilateurs,
• Bien plus léger, cela peut aider à réduire les vibrations parasites,
• Support BL Touch, avec cales si besoin,

Pour le ventilateur de façade il faudra utiliser des vis de longueur 15mm ou 25mm selon l'épaisseur du ventilateur.
Pour le ventilateur de filament il faudra utiliser des vis de longueur 20mm ou 30mm selon l'épaisseur du ventilateur.
Offset BL Touch : X=-45.5 et offset Y=-2.9

Màj du 15/12/2023 : anneau de fixation du ventilateur plus épais (il pouvait casser souvent à l'impression). Moins de supports nécessaires. Ne reste que la version avec support BL-Touch et qui ne nécessite pas le démontage de la tête de chauffe pour retirer le capot, toutes les autres versions sont supprimées car inutiles.

Màj du 28/04/2024 : ajout d'un "joint" pour éviter les fuites d'air entre le ventilateur et son plan d'appui d'inférieur.

This enclosure allows you to use 40x40 and 30x30 fans (with the adapter). I designed it to be used in MK8 with the original U20/U30/U30Pro filament duct or with an other duct with the same size.

Compared to the original metal cover, the main differences are:

• A reduction in the space between the bottom surface and the heater to reduce the airflow down the bed and causing warping. I did not observe any problems because of this proximity. The edges are now about 1.5mm apart from this body so silicone socks are compatible (distance 0.5mm from the body when installed),
• Lower surface raised to no longer include the heating element, so it is less cooled by the front fan,
• To maintain the position of the air guide, the location of the front fan is shifted up and to the left and inclined by 20 ° to blow towards the cooling body,
• The lateral and top openings are wide to increase the evacuation of air that can no longer escape from below. Surprisingly this also reduces the noise a little,
• Compatibility with 30x30 or 40x40, 10mm or 20mm, or more, thickness fans,
• Suppression of the fan grids reduct noise and improve the airflow from the fans,
• Much lighter, this can help to reduce ghosting,
• BL Touch support, with shims if needed

For the front fan it will be necessary to use screws with a length of 15mm or 25mm depending on the fan thickness.
For the filament fan it will be necessary to use screws with a length of 20mm or 30mm depending on the fan thickness.

Update 15/12/2023 : Thicker fan fixation ring (it was likely to break during printing). Less supports needed. Remains only the BL-Touch version that does not force do also dismantle the head to remove the enclosure. All other versions are deleted because they are useless.

Update 28/04/2024 : added a "seal" to avoid air leaking between the fan and the bottom face
