Description

Logitech C910 webcam does a really good job, but its mount system seems to be cursed by the same malediction as so many other webcams : it's perfectly designed to make sure the camera will never ever stand still.

I have this really handy Gorilla Tripod with a camera mount that you can screw on the bottom on any camera, so I made this little adapter that works just fine for me. :)

I didn't even take the time to check on Thingiverse if there already was something like that (and it seems there are a lot!) but, well… mine is just another way to do the same thing. :)
Also, most of the things I've seen afterwards are replacement parts (you have to remove the original mount and screw the new device as a replacement, which means you can't unmount it easily), while this design allows you to put the webcam in it and remove it as you need, so it's actually useful if you may use your webcam in different locations, like using the original mount on the top of your screen (if it fits… on mine, it didn't, hence the new design ;)) or put it on a tripod, or taking it by hand without carrying the tripod with it, in which case you can remove it from the adapter and put it there back again, quite easily.

To assemble it, you'll need an M3X12 screw, an M3 nut, and a short spring (5mm diam. 8mm height). Assemble as shown on the last picture. This will allow yaw rotation with some resistance (the adapter won't move away after positioning), while pitch is still allowed by the webcam's original mount articulation.
